Fernandez was recently commissioned by <a title=\"The New York Times\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2026\/02\/14\/opinion\/heart-romance-health-organ.html?smid=nytcore-ios-share&amp;referringSource=articleShare\">The New York Times<\/a> to create a ceramic tile animation of a beating heart for their piece, &quot;This Valentine\u2019s Day, Consider the Real Heart.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>Prior to this feature, Fernandez created a music video for the band Emory, which utilized over 300 hand-painted ceramic tiles.
