The\u00a0kazoo\u00a0is an American\u00a0musical instrument\u00a0that adds a “buzzing”\u00a0timbral\u00a0quality to a player’s voice when the player vocalizes into it. It is a type of\u00a0mirliton\u00a0(which itself is a\u00a0membranophone), one of a class of instruments which modifies its player’s voice by way of a\u00a0vibrating\u00a0membrane\u00a0of\u00a0goldbeater’s skin\u00a0or material with similar characteristics.<\/p>\n
