In thinking about arrangements for my topic, I’m thinking about arrangements within the space of “rewilding” (in quotes because I still don’t know a better name for it, even though it’s tricky) with an eye toward the plant communities.<\/p>\n
Hard arrangements:<\/p>\n

- physical boundaries between developed land and “rewilded” land\n
- \n
- creating a sense of “other”<\/li>\n
- creating a hierarchy of “good plants” and “bad plants”<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
- physical location of which plants are\u00a0 near which other plants, how close they are to humans and developed land, and what used to be in that space<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Soft arrangements<\/p>\n
- \n
- again, good plants and bad plants<\/li>\n
- “native species” and “invasive species”<\/li>\n
- arrangements between people and plants\n
- \n
- visitors<\/li>\n
- caretakers<\/li>\n
- dependencies on humans for planning, seeding, choosing which can stay and go<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
- arrangements between different plants\n
- \n
- which are dominant<\/li>\n
- how are they competing with each other for resources<\/li>\n
- how are they interacting with each other when they recognize the same species\/different species<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
- arrangements between plants and animals\n
- \n
- predator and prey — animals preying upon plants<\/li>\n
- creating homes for animals and bugs<\/li>\n
- allowing this to happen with less human intervention<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
