#10 – A paper prototype
This week I did a paper prototype for testing user interaction and finally start building the maze for my project, I’ve decided to do a mash-up between a Choose your adventure narrative with a “Quiet book” and pop up technique. This process allow me to experiment with inducing different sensations and generating diverse ways of interacting with a typically linear format.
Did some user testing with people around me and got many insights which will be very helpful for the process of building the real project, the main feedback I got was setting the mood and tone for the interactions, because sometimes it felt like being a riddle game and instead of the anxiety and claustrophobic feelings I wanted to get, people reacted with curiosity and a explorative mindset with the piece.
I think this can be affected by the lack of sound at this moment of the project, because it will generate the specific feelings I wanted to, nevertheless it’s worth checking on the other elements for not only relying on audio for the piece.
