According to my research in the market, I divide assisted driving into three categories. 

The first category is the assisted driving system of the car itself. Nowadays, almost every brand of car company has a similar function of assisted driving system, the purpose of which is to consider from the perspective of car design, adding elements to help people drive safely. When people are careless, this system can be activated in time and protect people’s lives.

For example, Volvo Pilot Assist. Pilot assistance systems provide collaborative, intelligent maneuverable assistance, and the driver needs to always maintain control of the vehicle. Pilot assistance systems reduce the driver’s stress during long-distance driving. And maintain a more stable and precise position in the lane. After the system is turned on, it can also play a positive role in an impending collision-improving emergency steering and braking performance.

Pilot assistance systems work when the vehicle speed does not exceed 130 km/h. It is especially useful in highway conditions and helps to save energy when driving at high speeds. In the European Union and the United States, Pilot assistance systems are connected to navigation systems and have the function of “electronic vision”, which can increase the accuracy and performance of cornering. The electronic speed-assisted steering of the curve speed adjustment system uses map data to adjust the cruising speed of the vehicle to a comfortable level. Western European markets have benefited from this set of curve speed adjustment functions. When using Pilot assistance systems, you must keep your hands from the steering wheel at all times and keep your eyes on the road ahead.

The adaptive cruise control system helps the self-car to maintain a proper distance from the vehicle in front when the vehicle speed does not exceed 200 km/h, bringing you a more relaxed driving experience and reducing the driver’s burden during the tedious long-distance driving process. The system also makes the proper distance to the vehicle ahead more accurate. Just select the desired speed and the time interval with the vehicle ahead. When the radar detects that the vehicle in front is slowing down, your car will automatically adjust its speed. After the current car leaves, your car will resume the selected speed. At any time, you can choose conventional cruise control.

Vehicle distance monitoring and warning system

If the adaptive cruise control system is not activated and the vehicle is very close to the front, the distance monitoring and warning system will issue a warning to help you maintain an appropriate distance. Vehicles equipped with a head-up display system can use this function.

 

The second category is mobile electronic devices other than the car’s own devices, such as driving recorders, mobile APP navigation, Bluetooth headsets, mobile Vehicle Diagnostic Devices and some warning devices. Its role is also to allow the driver to passively receive driving assistance and reduce Security risks.
