On 6/8 & 6/9 I user tested a version of my project, then I made some changes to it based on the feedback. On 6/10 I user tested that version in thesis and got a lot more feedback from the class.

I made changes to my prototype based on the class’s comments but haven’t had a chance to user test this most recent version, but here is the link. I removed the click-through features for now to make it easier to continue building on the site:

I tried to incorporate the comments that I received which I felt made sense to the project. Probably the most prominent comment I got was about the experience when you first sign onto the site, to “make it more obvious what is happening on the first page, and take a beat or two for what it’s about before asking for personal details” and trying to make it less intense and have a lighter feeling with better imagery but also without feeling like an advertisement. It was also recommended I try having less text on the process page. Along those lines, I tried to ease people a bit more slowly into the sign up process. Some also requested to get to hear more about the experiences or success stories, so I put that in as well.

All of these changes were actually a lot tougher to do than I thought it would be, it was hard to visualize what might make the website lighter yet still informative but I think I made progress in that. I look forward to doing more user testing and discussing what I can continue to do to really accomplish this.
