Prototype and User Testing
I did some user tests recently, and some people suggested that I should add some sound effects to make the experience more immersive. So I added some laughter when their friend was happy. The effect is indeed better, and they can experience the feeling of others’ happiness more clearly. Some background music is also added to make the whole experience warmer.
Others suggested that a start interface is needed so that the transition to the game will be more natural. And because my game is a stand-alone game, so I don’t need a log-in page with user name and password, just need to have a game start interface.
Someone also suggested that I should add some punishment mechanism. She said that I feel that games need both rewarded and punished. If there is only positive incentives, it might be boring to play, so I will consider improving the game mechanism to make the experience better in the next move.
