Thesis feedback
I prepared some slides to share with my thesis feedback group, which was useful because it really just illustrated just how convoluted the conceptual framework of my thesis had become.
The three themes I had organized my thoughts around (museum interactives + narcissism, screens, and metaverse) were each large enough to encompass their own thesis project.
One of my advisors suggested that I change the angle of the second theme to screen addiction, which makes a lot of sense.
Some other topics of research that came up were: attachment to self-representation, willingness to cooperate, what would it mean for your phone to enhance a work of art, and how does using a phone change perception of memory.
The most resounding of feedback was that I need to start prototyping. I am going to refine UX for a form of one prototype that tries to integrate feedback with an original idea. Hopefully this week I’ll have wireframes, and have started on software.
