Last week, I’ve done scripted instructions in a linear way, including the narrator and sound design elements. Afterward tested with Ellen and Carrie.

Ellen:

-The whole story makes sense

-like the first question and sound design especially the background sound

-But she doesn’t think everyone is willing to exchange contact, she suggested I empathize with the audiences because the primary audiences might be Introverted.

She suggested I experiment with posenet to detect the distance between people and give stronger back up at the coding part.

Carrie:

-the sound of the machine makes her feel cold. But she understanding the need for a neutral voice to help people live in the present. I could fix this issue later.

-The other big question is, how do I bring my audience into the project, and what can I do before they put on their headphones?

-Thinking that at least the machine is doing a good job. It gave a good reason for people to make a connection with others because “the machine told me to do this”

-like the opening

-One big issue for her is:  How to bring people into this field and engage in this project.

-My other two classmates, Hongyi Yiqi, think this artificial voice is good. One said he would not accept an invitation to play the game. But if he knew it was an experiment, he would be happy to participate.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the test. I haven’t had a chance to really get people to do the actions and go through the process. Although these have been experimented with, the real effect needs to be practiced.

-quick  reflection:

I still can’t forget my evasion of the project at the very beginning. I think I must improve the instruction part and keep integrating all the information and tech research into a finalized one.
