Below are some inspirations for my practice the next few months.
Maya Mann is creative coder who brings movement to the forefront of her works. They’re typically generative pieces or web-based commissions and feed off the legacy of people like Olia Lialina and Molly Soda. I love the fantasy these artists bring to the table. Here is a video of Mann working with Bill T. Jones.
Crystal Jow is a experiential media artist who is based out of LA. She is currently developing new immersive experiences by cross-pollinating her movement practices, wellness data, & meditation with media, and interactive technology.
Karyn Nakamura is an MIT student who makes everything multidisciplinary. I love seeing her work on Instagram @frog_spit_simulation

Some interesting / weird projects about bodies / performance / dances beyond mocap, if the concept of body is broken down / expanded:

Some related directions: how you personally relate to the concept of the body? What you found the most interesting about bodies in performances? What aspects in a performance excites you the most? What aspects of the body that you found is under-expressed in current performances, not even necessarily tech performances?
