My Topic is about verbal child abuse. The reason I am doing this project is that I experienced verbal abuse when I was a child, and it had huge impact on me, and I know there are lots of people like me out there, no matter the abuse is from their parents, teachers, or classmates. I want people to realize the impact and harm verbal abuse can do to kids and teenagers. So I created these short videos.
And for the ways of doing it, I am thinking three different ways.
First one is make a giant out installation that is interactive. And use a metaphor, the children is flower. Different input will influence the flower.\
The second one is an immersive space like TeamLab, the projection content will change with different input
The third one is some kind of live performance with some media arts elements, and I am still thinking about the tech details.

Hi Frost, thank you for sharing your thoughts around thesis! It’s interesting to see the different ways this project can come to life, but now we need to focus on concept and how your project (regardless of form) is going to touch on this topic. Is your project bringing awareness to the issue OR is this something for new parents OR something for parents with older children OR for the children who experienced this pain? (hint – it can’t be all of them)
I wonder what do you want to achieve by this project? Aiming to help (older)kids to communicate their emotional feeling to their parent? OR helping parent to evaluate/change their behavior in daily life?
Is there any type of kids you want to discovering deeper? What’s changed now compared to ten years ago (Device/Social influence)?
What’s the impact of the verbal abuse? Did you find some interesting paper or documentary?(Brain neurons)
Do you want to look at your topic from different direction to expand the imagination? for instance, Parental abuse by their children.
