After the midterm presentation, I think I am underprepared. I have to pick up the pace for my thesis project. I’m still at research phase, while the time left for the project itself is running shot. The advices from both guests and Kat are great. For the presentation, I have to think a better title for my project. Also, make extra slides for my contents, instead of talking about my project details on the slide Why Dose it Matter for too long while the details are not on any slides. The purpose is make the whole presentation and slides more clearly about my topics, research, and the final project itself. Also I need to make the presentation easier for guest to understand.

The feedback from Marianne and Ruta are also very helpful. I think for the thesis project, my topic is anti-verbal child abuse, the goal was to let parents and teachers to understand that verbal abuse is a important issue that can’t be ignored. But how to achieve that is very important. At first, I want to create an immersive experience to let parents feel how their child feel when they are being abused. However, this approach might be too direct and there is a danger that some of my target audience will be re-traumatized or feel defensive. I think I need to find a softer or more gentle way to convey my ideas, so my target audience are more willing to change and accept the new idea.
