Overall, I thought I could have done much more to prepare for both the content of my thesis and the presentation of it. With regards to the former, I have had a lot of difficulty committing to the finer details of my thesis question, such as the ideal audience and primary goal. The inability to cut down and focus has hindered my ability to move forward more meaningfully on a targeted and determined project plan.

While scrambling to find a version of the thesis question I was happy with, I forewent a lot of my time in preparing for the presentation itself. And though I had the information laid out in a straightforward manner, I was unable to properly present the full story of the idea and its practical implications in terms of presentable commitments.

For the next 5 weeks, I need to focus in on creating testable versions of my potential project output. In tinkering, I will be able to hone in more on the type of experience I care about and ideas about things such as the ideal people using the output.

  • Create a production timeline that encompasses the remainder of the Spring semester and the Summer session. Break this down into the following categories and post to thesis journal:
    • Continued research (references, experts, conversations, reflections on previous research)
      • By 4/13 at the latest
    • Design & development
      • By 4/27
    • User testing
      • By 5/4
    • Iteration & continued production
      • By 5/25
    • Documentation & presentation
      • By 6/8
