What can’t be done in the future?

There will be many new technologies in the future, and maybe there will be more multimedia ways to present a “world”.

But the future cannot go back to the past – the present, recording and preserving the present, is the way we can leave something for the future.

In the archaeological excavations of many ancient civilizations, archaeologists often discover the life and stories of the tomb owner through the grave goods and murals in the tomb. This is a way of leaving evidence for posterity.

Such a concept was expressed in the Pixar film “Coco”. If a dead person is completely forgotten by the living, he is truly dead.

What people who die now can leave behind by people in future generations are spiritual memory and material preservation.

In China, Qingming Festival is a day to sweep graves, and people tend to hold ceremonies such as setting off firecrackers and burning paper money. It is believed that by burning, items can be sent to the world where the deceased is.

I was wondering if it is possible to build a world in which to record and remember the dead in the virtual world so that people can commemorate or pay homage.

At the same time, I also hope that this will become a means of healing. Many times we regret that we do not have a real goodbye before our relatives and friends die.
