POSITION DESCRIPTION\t\t\t\tAV\/IT Projects Coordinator<\/p>\n
Position works closely with Exhibitions, Curatorial and Education
\nstaff on implementation of exhibitions and all other departments on
\nmuseum events which involve AV\/IT components.<\/p>\n
Working hours will be 40 hours\/week, 10:00 – 6:00 p.m., Monday
\nthrough Friday. Position requires occasional work on weekends and
\nevenings as necessary depending on schedule of exhibitions. The
\nposition reports to Exhibitions Manager and Manager of Information
\nTechnologies.<\/p>\n
RESPONSIBILITIES<\/p>\n
Responsible for all AV\/IT technical aspects of exhibitions including
\nproduction, equipment and software purchasing, installation and
\nplanning. Plan and implement projects clearly and effectively with
\nartists, curators, registrar and installation staff. Responsible for
\ninstallations of video equipment, new media art projects and web
\nbased presentations in the galleries.<\/p>\n
Responsible for assisting other departments in their multimedia
\nproduction needs beyond basic imaging such as production of digital
\nvideo\/audio files, DVD, and Power Point, PA system set up, video\/
\nteleconferencing.<\/p>\n
Manage AV\/IT exhibition and in-house equipment and resources and
\ntechnical infrastructure.<\/p>\n
Responsible for building-wide digital signage equipment,
\ninfrastructure and software.<\/p>\n
Develop long-term\/short-term technology plans in coordination with IT
\ndepartment and Director’s Office. Perform special projects as
\nassigned and required.<\/p>\n
QUALIFICATIONS
\nExcellent communication skills, positive, constructive attitude in
\ncollaborative work environment. Candidate must have at least 2-3
\nyears experience with exhibition installations in a museum or gallery
\nas an AV\/IT technician.<\/p>\n
TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE
\nSoftware:
\nProfessional level working knowledge of imaging and video editing
\nsoftware, including Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premier, Avid, Final
\nCut Pro or Motion.
