AHRC New York City, a family governed organization, is dedicated to
\nenhancing the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
\nand their families. AHRC contains six schools: four preschools, one elementary
\nschool, and one middle\/high school. AHRC\u2019s schools have a commitment to serve
\nALL children by embracing maximum integration of children with special needs and
\ntypically developing peers.<\/p>\n

Assistive Technology Assistant
\n(Programming\/ Phys Comp)
\nHelp non-verbal autistic students communicate their wants, needs, and
\ndesires.
\nDevelop assistive technology devices to aid in communication.<\/p>\n
Assistive Technology Assistant
\n(Designer)
\nHelp autistic students learn to communicate.
\nDesign symbols (vector graphics and photographs) representing
\nabstract and concrete concepts.<\/p>\n
Filmmaker
\nHelp autistic students learn how to play and interact with others
\nappropriately. Share your skills to help in the assessment\/treatment of
\nplay, language, and social skills of students with special needs.<\/p>\n
Educational Technology Assistant<\/p>\n
Share your tech skills with teachers. Collaborate with teachers and
\nsupport staff on implementation of classroom technology.<\/p>\n
Intellitools Designer
\nHelp teachers incorporate classroom activities into classroom
\ntechnology. Design templates and activities in Intellitools, which
\nenables teachers to design interactive curricula-relevant activities.<\/p>\n
