AHRC contains six schools: four preschools, one elementary<br \/>\nschool, and one middle\/high school. AHRC\u2019s schools have a commitment to serve<br \/>\nALL children by embracing maximum integration of children with special needs and<br \/>\ntypically developing peers.<\/p>\n<p>Current internship opportunities with AHRC\u2019s Schools:<\/p>\n<p>Assistive Technology Assistant<br \/>\n(Programming\/ Phys Comp)<br \/>\nHelp non-verbal autistic students communicate their wants, needs, and<br \/>\ndesires.<br \/>\nDevelop assistive technology devices to aid in communication.<\/p>\n<p>Assistive Technology Assistant<br \/>\n(Designer)<br \/>\nHelp autistic students learn to communicate.<br \/>\nDesign symbols (vector graphics and photographs) representing<br \/>\nabstract and concrete concepts.<\/p>\n<p>Filmmaker<br \/>\nHelp autistic students learn how to play and interact with others<br \/>\nappropriately. Share your skills to help in the assessment\/treatment of<br \/>\nplay, language, and social skills of students with special needs.<\/p>\n<p>Educational Technology Assistant<\/p>\n<p>Share your tech skills with teachers. Collaborate with teachers and<br \/>\nsupport staff on implementation of classroom technology.<\/p>\n<p>Intellitools Designer<br \/>\nHelp teachers incorporate classroom activities into classroom<br \/>\ntechnology.
