This project is in collaboration with Learning Games<br \/>\nNetwork, New York University, Tufts University, New York City Department of<br \/>\nParks and Recreation, and New York City Department of Education.<\/p>\n<p>Position Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>Coordinate the design of technology-enhanced playground games and<br \/>\ntheir paired digital apps<br \/>\nLead the planning and execution of research studies on playful learning<br \/>\nCollect data including observations, prompted verbalization, tests, and<br \/>\nsurveys<br \/>\nAnalyze data using mixed methods<br \/>\nWrite up findings to inform redesign and for summative evaluation<br \/>\npurposes<br \/>\nPresent findings at national meetings<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;<br \/>\n&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;<br \/>\n&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>Requirements:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>Design-based research experience designing science curricula and\/or<br \/>\nscience learning environments<br \/>\nEducation research experience conducting trials and analyzing data using<br \/>\nmixed methods<br \/>\nExperience analyzing observational data using a rubric<br \/>\nProficiency with statistical software such as SAS, SPSS, or STATA<br \/>\nExcellent written and oral communication skills<br \/>\nAbility to work well with a team from a diversity of disciplines<br \/>\nIdeal candidates have (or will soon complete) a Ph.D. in the learning<br \/>\nsciences, science education, psychology, museum studies, or related field.<br \/>\nCandidates with a Master\u2019s degree in one of the above areas or in a STEM<br \/>\ndiscipline with significant experience conducting educational research are<br \/>\nalso encouraged to apply.<br \/>\nPrior experience in informal science learning is a plus.<br \/>\nPrior experience teaching science is a plus.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;<br \/>\n&#8211;<br \/>\n&#8211;<br \/>\n&#8211;<br \/>\n&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;<br \/>\n&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>Salary is commensurate with qualifications: $50,000 &#8211; $60,000 with full<br \/>\nbenefits.
