Tech & SEO Intern at Online Marketing Agency for Nonprofits<\/p>\n
SankyNet helps nonprofit organizations use the Internet for communications,
\nmarketing, fundraising and advocacy. We are based in New York City.<\/p>\n
We are looking for a dynamic and motivated individual interested in learning more
\nabout web technology and search engine optimization (SEO). You will work
\nalongside our SankyNet Tech team to develop and implement online marketing\/
\ncommunications strategies and campaigns.<\/p>\n
Over the course of the internship, responsibilities could include:<\/p>\n

Qualifications:<\/p>\n
Applicant must be very comfortable using a computer (Windows environment) and
\nhave working experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, MS Word and Excel.
\nAdditional computer skills, including other web experience, is a plus.<\/p>\n
Hours & Compensation:<\/p>\n
Part-time, (24 hours\/week minimum) Fall 2011. School credit is available, plus a
\nstipend to cover travel and meal expenses.<\/p>\n

Monitoring client websites and making basic updates;
\nResearching potential link and blog placement for clients’ websites;
\nUpdating textual and graphic content on social networking sites
\n(Facebook, Twitter etc.)
\nOptimize clients websites for higher page rankings, using up-to-date
\nsearch engine optimization (SEO) tactics (Training will be provided).
\nResearch and document additional links for search engine optimization
\n(SEO) efforts.
