We’re a consulting company currently in Union Square.\u00a0\u00a0We do Ruby and mobile software development, pair programming, and high-volume, high-visibility web applications for clients large and small. Our office is growing and we need someone to help our systems keep up with demand. We’re agile, fun, and believe in sustainable pace (no death marches), and lots of testing.\u00a0\u00a0We have daily catered breakfast and keep our fridges well stocked.\u00a0\u00a0We like to work in an open environment \u2013 no cubicles here.<\/p>\n
You’ll be supporting our tenants\u2019 needs first (around 40 people \u2013 assist with printers, networking, etc).\u00a0\u00a0You\u2019ll also support about 35 of our developers onsite as well as additional developers in client offices around the city.\u00a0\u00a0We use Macs exclusively but our tenants will have a mixture of systems.<\/p>\n

We\u2019re looking for someone to take initiative as well as provide on-going support.
\nResponsibilities:
\nInstall, configure, and support:
\n* Workstations and laptops (Macintosh, Windows, and Linux)
\n* Local area network (LAN), WiFi and Internet connectivity to our office
\n* VoIP phones
\n* Manage backups, onsite and offsite<\/p>\n
Additional Skills desired:<\/p>\n
* Experience with managed switches and VLANs<\/p>\n
* OS X Server administration
\n* Linux administration<\/p>\n
* VPN experience (IPSEC)<\/p>\n
* Scripting languages (Shell, Ruby, Perl, Python, etc.)
\n* Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical clients<\/p>\n
