Job Description<\/p>\n
Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, located in New York City, is looking for a Design\u00a0Research and Development Specialist to continue to build design leadership into the\u00a0interdisciplinary team of Strategic Planning and Innovation. The candidate would have a strong\u00a0personal interest in working in the health care field with a demonstrated ability to lead empathetic\u00a0design research and development methodologies creatively through client based projects.<\/p>\n
The Design Research and Development Specialist is responsible for directing innovation projects\u00a0from inception through to idea prototyping in a health care environment, facilitating\u00a0multidisciplinary project teams through co-creation, and communicating the value of the work\u00a0internally among project sponsors through insightful documentation and decision making tools.<\/p>\n
Requirements:<\/p>\n
– Bachelors degree required with 3-5 years of related experience<\/p>\n
– Masters degree preferred with focus in interdisciplinary research, including, but not limited\u00a0to:\u00a0Master of Arts, Master of Design, Master of Fine Arts, Master of Science, etc.<\/p>\n
– Specialized skills and\/or focus, including, but not limited to:\u00a0Communication Design, Human Factors, Interaction Design, Service Design, etc.<\/p>\n
– Recent client based projects in a portfolio<\/p>\n
– Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (i.e. Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) with web skills a<\/p>\n
plus.<\/p>\n
– Experience in observational research, group facilitation, and project management<\/p>\n
