The festival is distinguished by its outstanding <\/span><span style=\"font-family: Georgia; font-size: x-small;\">selection of titles, which tackle diverse and challenging subjects, representing a range of issues <\/span><span style=\"font-family: Georgia; font-size: x-small;\">and perspectives, and by the forums for discussion with filmmakers and speakers. <\/span><span style=\"font-family: Georgia; font-size: x-small;\">The Public Programs division of the museum organizes lectures, workshops, fieldtrips and film <\/span><span style=\"font-family: Georgia; font-size: x-small;\">screenings related to the museum\u2019s temporary and permanent exhibits. Interns will have the <\/span><span style=\"font-family: Georgia; font-size: x-small;\">opportunity to work on projects related to both the Mead Festival and other public programs. <\/span><span style=\"font-family: Georgia; font-size: x-small;\">Interns are critical to our operations and we are currently seeking motivated and creative <\/span><span style=\"font-family: Georgia; font-size: x-small;\">individuals to work with us. This internship enables interns to learn about film festival <\/span><span style=\"font-family: Georgia; font-size: x-small;\">production, documentary analysis, museum operations, and outreach strategies, as well as hands-on <\/span><span style=\"font-family: Georgia; font-size: x-small;\">involvement with the Margaret Mead Film Festival. We require our interns to work <\/span><span style=\"font-family: Georgia; font-size: x-small;\">at least 2 whole days per week (10:00-5:00 pm, M-F) plus assist with 4 evening or weekend <\/span><span style=\"font-family: Georgia; font-size: x-small;\">programs per semester. Although this is an unpaid internship, many of our past interns have <\/span><span style=\"font-family: Georgia; font-size: x-small;\">received payment or credit through work-study or academic credit programs offered by their <\/span><span style=\"font-family: Georgia; font-size: x-small;\">universities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Georgia; font-size: x-small;\"> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Georgia; font-size: x-small;\">RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Georgia; font-size: x-small;\">Intern tasks include, but are not limited to: general office and administrative support; <\/span><span style=\"font-family: Georgia; font-size: x-small;\">composing\/designing and distributing flyers and posters; overseeing film submissions; compiling <\/span><span style=\"font-family: Georgia; font-size: x-small;\">and overseeing various mailings; maintaining databases and website; working on outreach, <\/span><span style=\"font-family: Georgia; font-size: x-small;\">education or web projects; and assisting with marketing\/publicity.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Georgia; font-size: x-small;\"> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Georgia; font-size: x-small;\">QUALIFICATIONS:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Georgia; font-size: x-small;\">Current college or graduate students, preferably with arts, social science or media degrees. <\/span><span style=\"font-family: Georgia; font-size: x-small;\">Must be reliable, organized and positive.
