JOB: Student position for a webmaster\/graphics designer to design elements for and update three NYU TV &
\nMedia websites.<\/p>\n
HOURS: Part-time student employment (10 -20 flexible), two term commitment required (at least through May
\n2012). We are not able to employ students who are graduating in Dec.2011.<\/p>\n
SALARY: Based on experience
\nDESCRIPTION: NYU-TV is the university\u2019s closed-circuit cable television network. The primary
\nresponsibilities will be to create promotional elements and to update content for three NYU TV & Media
\nwebsites: NYU-TV, the Television Center, and Campus Cable. These websites are being redesigned and
\nwill launch in Fall 2007. This is a great opportunity to get in on the ground floor, as you will be contributing to
\nestablishing the new brand identity for NYU-TV, which will cross multiple platforms \u2013 web, print, and broadcast
\ndesign. The new websites will be incorporating streaming, Flash, and Flash video, and exploring new ways of
\npromoting content on both television and the web. You\u2019ll be part of a team of designers, working together to build
\nNYU-TV\u2019s television and web presence.<\/p>\n
Other responsibilities may include designing broadcast graphics for videos or video streaming projects; creating
\nFlash animations for NYU-TV Happenings Channel, creating promotional materials for print, and researching new
\ntechnologies and software to improve the visual presentation of NYU-TV.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
\nMust have strong graphic design and\/or art background.
\nProficiency with Dreamweaver, HTML, Javascript (intermediate level), CSS, php (intermediate level), Flash,
\nPhotoShop, Illustrator.
\nWorking knowledge of Flash Video and familiarity with Real Player and Real Producer.
\nExcellent ability to work across multiple platforms.
\nStrong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills are a must!<\/p>\n
BONUS SKILLS:
\nFamiliarity with After Effects, Final Cut Pro, Quicktime, and DVD authoring a plus.
\nExperience designing graphics for video\/TV also valuable.
\nFamiliarity with podcasting and RSS feeds.<\/p>\n
