The investigative reporting team at\u00a0Mother Jones<\/em> is looking for a kick-ass web developer to help us take our online journalism to the next level.<\/p>\n

MotherJones.com<\/em> has seen record increases in traffic in 2011, doubling our page views. Users love us for providing original, hard-hitting investigative reporting that doesn\u2019t feel like homework and occasionally makes you laugh out loud. We love the possibilities of the digital environment for interactive storytelling (our user-powered map of the Occupy movement was one of the first to show the growth of the phenomenon) and are making a major push to expand in this area. The new developer will work closely with the rest of the tech team to develop interactive projects, data visualizations, and other new features.<\/p>\n

Requirements:
\nSignificant programming experience in a modern programming language
\nSolid knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
\nExperience with integrating code with a content management system<\/p>\n

Nice-to-haves:
\nExperience with the Drupal CMS
\nPHP programming experience
\nMobile web\/app development experience<\/p>\n
