We&#8217;re pursing this vision through the development of Casebook &#8211; the first collaborative, family-centered case management system for child welfare, enabling workers serving the most vulnerable families and children to be more effective and efficient via new software tools. Case Commons is funded by the Annie E. Casey Foundation, which has spent 20 years pursuing human services system reform, and works in partnership with Pivotal Labs and IDEO.<\/p>\n<p>We are looking for a strong QA Engineer who is passionate about\u00a0product quality and relishes the idea of solving challenging problems\u00a0in social and collaborative software. If you fit the bill you will be\u00a0primarily responsible for writing automated test scripts to test new\u00a0applications (as well as new\u00a0versions of our current applications), assisting our product team with the reproduction of product defects and working with different teams to best determine areas of our applications that need additional testing. You will work directly with the QA Manager to help\u00a0establish and refine QA methodologies that will\u00a0be used by a larger team in the future.<\/p>\n<p>Job Responsibilities<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Will report to the QA Manager and will work very\u00a0closely with multiple Product teams<\/li>\n<li>Work with the Product Team during definition, development and\u00a0subsequent iteration to ensure quality and timely delivery is achieved<\/li>\n<li>Create, modify and execute test scripts and full regression tests,\u00a0with an eye towards developing and maintaining a library of reusable\u00a0scripts and processes<\/li>\n<li>Manual testing where necessary<\/li>\n<li>Conduct software compatibility tests with browsers, programs, and\u00a0operating systems.<\/li>\n<li>Log and track software defects and communicate priority\/severity of\u00a0defects to other team members<\/li>\n<li>Monitor bug resolution efforts and track successes. Retest bug fixes\u00a0made by development<\/li>\n<li>Provide feedback to development and product management on software\u00a0usability and functionality<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Requirements<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Familiar with discovery testing, finding failure points and corner cases\u00a0that the feature developer may not have foreseen<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Able to write test scripts using Ruby (preferred) or any other language<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Familiarity with Browsermob and Visual Studio Coded UI Tests a plus.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Knowledge of Javascript and C# also a plus.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Experience with agile development workflows<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Extremely comfortable embedded with an agile engineering team<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Please send your cover letter and resume to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:vincent@casecommons.org\" target=\"_blank\">vincent@casecommons.org<\/a><\/span><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>QA Engineer Case Commons&#8217; mission is to transform public sector human services through user-centered design &amp; technology.
