in the\u00a0International Conference<\/strong>
\n<\/span>“Theatre Between Tradition and Contemporaneity”
\n<\/span>
\nDecember 17 – 21, 2012<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/span>at Retzhof Castle – Retzhof Educational Institute
\nin Leitring bei Leibnitz, Austria!<\/strong><\/p>\n

“Theatre Between Tradition and Contemporaneity” is the professional conference
\nresearching the\u00a0Bridge between Tradition and Contemporaneity in performing arts<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The conference is open to different art genres, techniques and forms –
\ntheatre, dance, music, circus, visual and multimedia art<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The conference is open to performers, performing arts educators,
\nteachers, artists, playwrights, theatre critics, journalists, theatre
\nresearchers and arts managers from all over the world interested in
\nthe research of traditional methods as applied to contemporary
\nperforming arts work. This meeting is an opportunity to meet potential
\ncollaborators from different countries!<\/p>\n

The working language is\u00a0ENGLISH<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

VENUE<\/p>\n

The conference will take place in the “Green Heart” of Austria, Styria
\nRegion in Leitring bei Leibnitz, the beautiful town located about
\n30min drive from Graz Thalerhof Airport, 2.5h from Vienna, 40min from
\nGraz, and just 20min from the Slovenian border. The programme will
\ntake place in the 15th century historic castle of in the landscape of
\nnatural beauty.<\/p>\n

The organizers help the conference guests to organize accommodation
\nand meals in Leitring bei Leibnitz.<\/p>\n

\n<\/span><\/strong>
\nYou are welcome to take part in the conference
\nas a Speaker, Presenter, Participant, Observer!<\/p>\n

<\/span>REGISTRATION FOR PRESENTERS AND SPEAKERS:<\/span>
\n<\/span><\/strong>The conference is a wonderful opportunity for performers, performing
\narts educators and teachers to demonstrate their methods and
\ntechniques. The programme is forming quickly, the number of slots is
\nlimited. The program forms on a competitive basis.<\/p>\n

PRESENTATION FORMATS<\/strong>: practical workshop\/master class, work in
\nprogress, performance fragment not requiring special technical
\nconditions, reading\/lecture, other way of demonstration offered by
\nSpeaker\/Presenter can be considered.<\/p>\n

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:
\nThe presentation proposal should be sent to <\/span>iugte.projects@gmail.com<\/span><\/a>
\nand should include the following documents:<\/p>\n

\u2022 \u00a0Letter of motivation stating the conference title and dates
\ndescribing the purpose of application – at least in one sentence
\n\u2022 \u00a0Detailed CV
\n\u2022 \u00a0Brief biography – max 100 words
\n\u2022 \u00a0Title and format of presentation
\n\u2022 \u00a0Brief overview of presentation – max 250 words
\n\u2022 \u00a0Head shot and additional photo materials<\/p>\n

All documents of a presentation proposal should be sent in one email
\nas attachments: text documents should be sent in Word format, photo
\nmaterials should be sent in JPG format.<\/p>\n

Registration fee for Presenters\/Speakers:
\n450 EUR if payment is made before December 22nd, 2011
\n(550 EUR if payment is made after December 22nd, 2011).<\/p>\n

The fee covers the Speaker’s\/Presenter’s registration fee
\nand participation in all events of the conference programme:
\npractical workshops, presentations, performance fragments, lectures.<\/p>\n
