{"id":10911,"date":"2012-01-05T12:02:24","date_gmt":"2012-01-05T16:02:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/itp.nyu.edu\/opportunities\/?p=10911"},"modified":"2012-01-05T12:02:24","modified_gmt":"2012-01-05T16:02:24","slug":"gig-looking-to-hire-an-assitant","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/itp.nyu.edu\/opportunities\/2012\/01\/05\/gig-looking-to-hire-an-assitant\/","title":{"rendered":"[GIG] looking to hire an assitant"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I am looking for a studio assistant to help with an upcoming mixed<br \/>\nmedia sculpture project.<\/p>\n<div>\n<div>\nI need someone to help me with the audio and coding part of my<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div>sculpture exhibition and would love to hire one of your students or<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>alumni&#8230;.<\/p>\n<p>Briefly, the project, entitled THE TALKING CURE, consists of ten<br \/>\nsculptures. Each of these will have been paired with a writer who will<br \/>\nwrite a (roughly) 300 word monologue of what is going on inside the<br \/>\nsculptures&#8217; mind. These will be recorded. I need someone to possibly<br \/>\nhelp with the recording \u00a0but \u00a0mostly \u00a0I need to work with someone who<br \/>\ncan \u00a0code the monologues and connect them to either scan-able codes (<br \/>\nQR codes?) so that viewers can point their smart-phones at the code<br \/>\nand trigger the audio or if it&#8217;s easier to connect the recordings to a<br \/>\nseries of phone numbers that viewers could call, toll free, to hear<br \/>\nthe voices.<\/p>\n<p>I am sure that there are aspects of this that I haven&#8217;t considered, so<br \/>\nsomeone who is a creative problem solver, but not necessarily an<br \/>\nartist would be wonderful to meet!<\/p>\n<p>Melissa Stern &lt;<a href=\"mailto:m@melissa-stern.com\" target=\"_blank\">m@melissa-stern.com<\/a>&gt;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I am looking for a studio assistant to help with an upcoming mixed media sculpture project.
