\nResponsibilities \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0The Emerging Media Software Architect is a full time
\nposition within NBCUniversal’s Consumer Technology Innovation (CTI)
\nTeam and will be responsible for imagining, researching, and
\ndeveloping creative, advanced technical Prove of Concept
\n(POCs),software applications and prototypes in a range of new,
\nemerging media and consumer technologies. This will ultimately
\ngenerate deep technical expertise and innovation for NBCU brand
\npartners and the company as a whole. Consumer technologies the team
\nfocuses on include Mobile, Social, Gaming, eBooks, Over-the-Top (OTT),
\nand Automatic Content Recognition (ACR).<\/p>\n

ADDITIONAL DUTIES<\/p>\n

Manage all associated documentation and source code generated in
\nhis\/her research and software prototyping activities.
\nThe Emerging Media Software Architect assists in evangelizing all
\nthese initiatives, working closely with Emerging Technology
\nSpecialists (ETS) as well as with other NBCU Operations and Technical
\nServices peers, 3rd party technology partners, vendors, and NBCU
\nbrands when needed.
\nThe ideal candidate will be a motivated, self-starting,
\ndetail-oriented professional with a strong desire for experimenting
\nwith new technologies and innovate in the media space.
\nThis is a technical role in which an engineering background would
\nbe greatly helpful.<\/p>\n

Qualifications\/Requirements<\/p>\n

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in work experience
\nMinimum of 3 years experience in systems architecture and software
\ndevelopment, specifically on Web-based technologies (HTML5,
\nJavaScript, CSS)
\nMinimum of 2 years experience in systems architecture and software
\ndevelopment, specifically for Mobile platforms such as iOS, Android,
\nand Windows phones
\nMinimum of 2 years experience working directly with customers to
\nunderstand their needs, capture requirements, and build project plans<\/p>\n

Strong aptitude for reading\/creating technical documentation,
\nstandards, and creating formulating\/materializing system integrations
\nwith 3rd party platforms based on multiple SDKs\/APIs
\nStrong Agile software development and project management
\nmethodology experience
\nStrong LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) stack experience
\nFamiliarity with the media business and digital content
\ndistribution technologies
\nFamiliarity with Connected TV technologies and platforms such as
\nSamsung\/LG Smart TVs, Google TV, Yahoo Connected TV, Apple TV, Roku
\nand others
\nFamiliarity with Microsoft XBOX gaming platform and MS Silverlight
\nsoftware development
\nFamiliarity with Automatic Content Recognition (ACR) technologies
\nand players in the space
\nFamiliarity with Social sites integration (Facebook, Twitter) and
\nsocial commenting tools
\nFamiliarity with Gamification platforms and services
\nFamiliarity with eBook publishing tools and technologies
\nFamiliarity with wireless carriers and mobile services such as
\nSMS\/MMS, Mobile Web, and Mobile Video
\nFamiliarity with digital ad serving platforms as Google DFP,
\nAuditude, and FreeWheel
