Seeking computer science student to help with<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

website building and maintenance<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The\u00a0Social Innovators Collective<\/strong>\u00a0is a dynamic, energetic, international network of\u00a0emerging\u00a0founders, leaders and individuals who work in the social enterprise and nonprofit sectors.<\/p>\n

We are currently a volunteer run organization and need the help of a student familiar with website development and maintenance.<\/p>\n

WEBMASTER INTERN WILL BE WORKING ON:<\/strong><\/p>\n

– Adding new members profiles<\/p>\n

– Updating sections of the site when new programs launch<\/p>\n

– Updating the calendar with events<\/p>\n

Development Requests (for those with more advanced skills)<\/strong><\/p>\n

– creating a user generated profile page for new members<\/p>\n

– alphabetizing view of member database (currently only 48 entries)<\/p>\n

– creating a form for new member registration and our mastermind application<\/p>\n

Marketing Requests<\/strong><\/p>\n

– multiple lists created in MailChimp to blast out info to different communities<\/p>\n

– SEO optimization and web analytics<\/p>\n

– Advice on how to use our blog<\/p>\n

Internship start \u2013 end date:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

To be discussed with intern.<\/p>\n

Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>February 10th<\/sup>\u00a0for winter\/spring term<\/p>\n

Time commitment<\/strong>: 1-2 days or 10 hours a week minimum<\/p>\n

Compensation<\/strong>: This is a non-paid internship.<\/p>\n

Credit:<\/strong>\u00a0Credit is available to students whose departments\/schools support internships. Please let us know what you will need from us to obtain credit.<\/p>\n

Skills needed:<\/strong>\u00a0WordPress, PHP, MySQL, MailChimp and Google Analytics<\/p>\n

The Social Innovators Collective<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Collective was born in 2010 when a handful of New York-based social entrepreneurs and nonprofit leaders realized that we were dealing with strikingly similar challenges, and that by leveraging our collective resources and insight we could overcome those challenges. As future world-changing leaders we saw we needed to sharpen our skills, have easy access to information and collaborate with others who were equally driven to create tangible positive impact.<\/p>\n

Currently, we connect through an online forum, workshops, social events and\u00a0Mastermind Sessions. Mastermind Sessions are face-to-face meetings attended by founders and leaders of social enterprise and nonprofit organizations. Founders introduce their venture with a focus on the most pressing issues they are facing and other members give structured feedback as well as recommendations to overcome them.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
