{"id":11084,"date":"2012-01-31T16:21:06","date_gmt":"2012-01-31T20:21:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/itp.nyu.edu\/opportunities\/?p=11084"},"modified":"2012-01-31T16:21:06","modified_gmt":"2012-01-31T20:21:06","slug":"job-electronic-engineering-technician","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/itp.nyu.edu\/opportunities\/2012\/01\/31\/job-electronic-engineering-technician\/","title":{"rendered":"[JOB] Electronic Engineering Technician"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Electronic Engineering Technician (Manhattan, NYC)<\/h2>\n<p>Job Description:<\/p>\n<p>Work at a company specializing in musical instrument amplification and related products.<\/p>\n<p>Electronic Engineering Technician is responsible for building, testing, and repairing operational and experimental electronics, circuitry, and equipment adhering to company guidelines.<\/p>\n<p>Successful candidate should:<br \/>\n-Have a high school diploma with 3-5 years of experience in the field; Associate degree in electrical engineering preferred.<br \/>\n-Be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field, and capable to use hand tools, electronic test equipment, and computer software tools according to company guidelines.<br \/>\n-Be able to work under minimal supervision, relying on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.<br \/>\n-Have excellent hand soldering skills and be proficient in reading schematics and diagrams.<\/p>\n<p>Specific tasks include:<br \/>\nPerforming repairs on the component level on all products and test equipment.<br \/>\nFactory specification compliance testing on all products.<br \/>\nManaging repair records and the repair queue to ensure timely repair and accurate tracking.<br \/>\nAssisting assemblers with technical issues, and updating assembly procedures as needed.<br \/>\nAssisting in the creation and maintenance of design documents, and using design documents to build working prototypes.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Location: Manhattan, NYC<\/li>\n<li>Compensation: Commensurate with experience<\/li>\n<li>Principals only.
