O&amp;TS includes domestic television production operations,<\/p>\n<p>Universal Studio operations, global technical operations, information technology, and media products &amp;<\/p>\n<p>advanced technologies.<\/p>\n<p>The NBCUniversal Operations &amp; Technical Services Internship Program is a ten-week paid summer<\/p>\n<p>program where students see firsthand how one of the largest media and entertainment companies in the<\/p>\n<p>As an intern with NBCUniversal O&amp;TS, you will:<\/p>\n<p>Begin your internship with a 3-day immersion class that introduces you to O&amp;TS.<\/p>\n<p>Be placed on an assignment (based on your skillset and interest), which provides you with hands-<\/p>\n<p>on experience.<\/p>\n<p>Lead a challenging real-world project from start to finish, allowing you to apply your classroom<\/p>\n<p>knowledge to practical situations.<\/p>\n<p>Create and deliver a presentation to senior management.<\/p>\n<p>Be paired with a leader in the organization as your mentor: coaching and guiding you in your<\/p>\n<p>professional learning and development.<\/p>\n<p>Gain the skills and network to have an advantage during the application process to entry-level<\/p>\n<p>positions within the O&amp;TS organization after graduation.<\/p>\n<p>Internship opportunities are in the following areas:<\/p>\n<p>ArtWorks &#8211; Broadcast design support for NBC News, Sports, East Coast Entertainment, MSNBC, CNBC,<br \/>\nLocal Media stations and Telemundo stations<\/p>\n<p>Broadcast Operations &#8211; Preparation, origination and delivery of media assets across broadcast and<br \/>\ndigital platforms.<\/p>\n<p>Media Products &amp; Advanced Technologies &#8211; Coordinates product strategy, development, design and<br \/>\ntechnical architecture for critical O&amp;TS systems, as well as driving technology research and development<br \/>\nin business critical areas.<\/p>\n<p>Engineering &#8211; Broadcast On-Air Engineering: Innovates, integrates and supports the systems that enable<br \/>\nNBCUniversal\u2019s production and newsroom operations.<\/p>\n<p>SAP &#8211; With an increasing company reliance on the SAP systems, the SAP Center of Excellence utilizes<br \/>\ntechnical expertise to integrate and support the growing number of SAP modules used throughout the<br \/>\ncompany. As the usage of SAP grows, the company relies on SAP technologists to develop processes and<br \/>\nbuild and test the modules to meet the business needs.<\/p>\n<p>IT Operations Center &#8211; The technology backbone of NBCUniversal. Enhances business services, drives<br \/>\ntechnology innovation, preserves and enhances our core business.<\/p>\n<p>West Coast Operations &#8211; Studio technical operations, staging, maintenance, tape operations and<br \/>\narchival services. Special effects, scenic paint and set construction.<\/p>\n<p>Qualifications\/Requirements Basic Qualifications:<br \/>\n\u2022 Prior work experience required<br \/>\n\u2022 Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)<br \/>\n\u2022 Must be able to secure housing and transportation<br \/>\nEligibility Requirements:<br \/>\n\u2022 Must be 18 years or older<br \/>\n\u2022 Currently enrolled in a Bachelor\u2019s Degree (B.A. or B.S.) program pursuing a related technical<br \/>\nor media field of study (e.g., Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Media Technology,<br \/>\nCommunications Technology, Graphic Technology, Computer Engineering, Broadcast<br \/>\nEngineering)<br \/>\n\u2022 Must have a GPA greater than or equal to 3.0\/4.0 cumulatively<br \/>\n\u2022 Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S.<br \/>\n\u2022 Must be willing to submit to a background investigation<br \/>\n\u2022 External applicants are encouraged to submit a resume\/CV through<br \/>\n\u2022 Must be willing to work in New York, NY or Los Angeles, CA<br \/>\n\u2022 www.nbcunicareers.com\/internships to be considered<br \/>\nDesired Characteristics<br \/>\n\u2022 Demonstrated technical\/analytical skills and sharp business acumen<br \/>\n\u2022 Proven leadership ability<br \/>\n\u2022 Strong interpersonal and excellent communication skills<br \/>\n\u2022 Passion for media and entertainment<br \/>\n\u2022 Geographic mobility (Internship assignments are completed in NY, NJ or CA)<\/p>\n<p>Join NBCUniversal where we don\u2019t predict the future.
