\nFair, and we’d like to invite all like-minded ITPers to sign on for

The\u00a0Wiki World’s Fair<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0\/\u00a0Free Culture World’s Fair<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0will be held on\u00a0Governors Island<\/a>\u00a0in beautiful New York Harbor on Saturday July 7 (raindate: Sunday July 8) as part of the\u00a0Great American Wiknic<\/a>, and in welcoming international visitors forWikimania Takes Manhattan<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The event will combine a wiki-picnic and civic celebration in the area of theFIGMENT<\/a>\u00a0participatory art festival<\/a>‘s\u00a0arcade<\/a>-themed artist-designed\u00a0minigolf course<\/a>,\u00a0sculpture garden<\/a>, and\u00a0treehouse<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The celebration will be led by Wikimedians and\u00a0Free Culture Alliance NYC<\/a>, with DIY fair pavilions (bamboo<\/a>\u00a0poles to be provided!) for numerous represented Wikiverse and Free Culture initiatives.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
