Description
\nThe Interaction and Experience Research (IXR) Group, at Intel Labs, is currently accepting applications for a User Experience Design Intern. The successful candidate will be joining a world-class team of industry researchers. Our group consists of a wide variety of disciplines including: social scientists, design researchers, interaction designers, human factors engineers, strategic planners, and technology innovators, hardware and software engineers. The role consists of working with a collaborative team to design and develop rapid prototyping\/hacking concepts for the team to evaluate and generate R&D material. In particular, we are looking for a student to investigate experience concepts targeted at the next 3-5 years in a particular market segment.
\nQualifications
\nYou must be a student currently pursuing an Undergraduate or Masters degree in User Experience or Interaction Design.<\/p>\n

Additional ideal qualifications include:
\n– Experience in interaction design, information architecture, and experience design for digital experiences
\n– Interest in convergent digital-physical interfaces
\n– Familiarity with wireframing tools, such as Omnigraffle, InDesign, Axure or Visio
\n– Visual design skills and experience, including familiarity with Photoshop and Illustrator
\n– Excellent written and verbal skills and ability to work in a team environment
\n– Experience utilizing prototyping in order to iterate within a design process<\/p>\n

Qualifications Minimum
\n– Pursuing or received B.S. or M.A\/M.S. in Interaction Design, Industrial Design, Digital Media, Applied Arts or related disciplines
\n– Strong desire to learn
\n– Demonstrated knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign\/OmniGraffle\/Axure\/Visio
\n– Excellent written\/verbal communication and presentation skills<\/p>\n

Preferred
\n– Wild creativity paired with strong analytical and logical problem-solving skills
\n– High tolerance for a dynamic work environment with rapidly changing priorities
\n– Prototyping skills a plus, including familiarity with tools such as Arduino, Processing, OpenFrameworks<\/p>\n
