As an Intern at SapientNitro, you\u2019ll be\u00a0working in a creative environment where you\u2019ll learn from analysts, researchers,\u00a0marketers and strategists, as well as designers, developers and account<br \/>\nprofessionals.<\/p>\n<p>Our summer interns will be joining a company that has been lauded by Forrester as\u00a0being the leader in the first ever Forrester Research, Inc. \u00a0February 2012 report: \u201cThe\u00a0Forrester Wave\u2122: Global Commerce Service Providers, Q1 2012.\u201d SapientNitro has\u00a0also been cited as a leader in Forrester Research\u2019s 2012 Wave Report: \u201cU.S. Digital\u00a0Agencies \u2013 Mobile Marketing Strategy and Execution.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>PROGRAM:<br \/>\nThe SapientNitro NY Summer Interns will join a twelve week program from June \u2013\u00a0August 2012 and will be based in our New York office at 40 Fulton Street. You will\u00a0be placed against one of the following domains dependent on experience and skill\u00a0set. You\u2019ll have the opportunity to work across a variety of accounts and industries\u00a0within each of these domains.<\/p>\n<p>DOMAINS:<br \/>\nEXPERIENCE INNOVATION<br \/>\nThe Experience Innovation Summer Intern will work with Experience\u00a0Innovation group to produce thought leadership research pieces (white\u00a0papers, videos, conference presentations, etc.) on Experience Innovation.\u00a0The ideal candidate will also help to create infographics \/ data visualizations\u00a0that illustrate trends and concepts in compelling and ways. You&#8217;ll be involved\u00a0in all aspects of thought leadership and creative development; from design\u00a0research, to user journey&#8217;s and use cases, to higher level conceptual\/strategic frameworks, orchestration, and developing creative assets; mental\u00a0models, story board, storytelling, video, prototyping, etc.<\/p>\n<p>Requirements:<br \/>\n\u2022 Strong writing skills with ability to write for academic and business\u00a0audiences<br \/>\n\u2022 Strong communication design skills. Must be able to design compelling\u00a0infographics \/ data visualizations using Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign,\u00a0or other design tools.<br \/>\n\u2022 On top of trends in digital experiences, technological innovations,\u00a0experience design<br \/>\n\u2022 Will be required to include an online portfolio including written research\u00a0pieces (white papers, academic research reports, blog postings, etc. as well as samples of infographics \/ data visualizations as part of your\u00a0application process.<\/p>\n<p>PUBLIC RELATIONS MARKETING<br \/>\nAs part of a top-notch global team of SapientNitro Public Relations and\u00a0marketing professionals, the corporate marketing\/PR intern will support\u00a0the needs of SapientNitro\u2019s corporate marketing group in North America.\u00a0The candidate will help promote our work and our spokespeople through\u00a0marketing channels, media relations, events, awards, social media, speaker\u00a0circuits and internal communication channels. Other duties include supporting\u00a0our business growth through monitoring and creating marketing collateral as\u00a0needed.<\/p>\n<p>Requirements:<br \/>\n\u2022 Background or interest in public relations, marketing, and advertising\u00a0undergraduate upperclassman or MBA candidate in related marketing or\u00a0communications field is preferred.<br \/>\n\u2022 Affinity for the web and digital technologies<br \/>\n\u2022 An eye for creativity and a passion for corporate branding<br \/>\n\u2022 Experience with social media tools (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc.\u00a0required<br \/>\n\u2022 Knowledge of interactive technologies (e.g., HTML and design\u00a0applications (Adobe Photoshop, In-Design is a \u201cplus,\u201d but not required<\/p>\n<p>INTERACTIVE PROGRAM MANAGEMENT<br \/>\nOur ideal candidate should have an interest in Interactive Project\u00a0Management design and development for digital marketing products\u00a0and services) and may have a secondary interest in marketing Creative\u00a0Production. The iPM Summer Intern will have the opportunity to work\u00a0with various members of the Marketing Services Line team and assist in\u00a0the planning, management and execution of User Experience and User\u00a0interaction projects across all digital channels websites, mobile and tablet\u00a0apps, etc. The intern may also have the opportunity to work on campaigns for\u00a0banner, website and app development, print and broadcast. The MSL intern\u00a0will help create and execute project plans, assign and manage resources,\u00a0coordinate and document meetings, and contribute to quality assurance for<br \/>\nproject presentations and deliverables. For the right candidate, we would aim\u00a0to tailor the internship to his\/her interests.<\/p>\n<p>Requirements:<br \/>\n\u2022 Minimum 3 years of undergraduate study required; graduate student\u00a0preferred<br \/>\n\u2022 Strong interest in management of digital design and production<br \/>\n\u2022 Good written, oral and interpersonal communication skills and comfort\u00a0interacting<br \/>\n\u2022 Affinity for the web and digital technologies and tools<\/p>\n<p>\u2022Experience with PPT, Excel required; aptitude for learning new technical\u00a0systems and software, required<br \/>\n\u2022 Experience with social media tools (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, YouTube,\u00a0etc.) preferred<br \/>\n\u2022 Knowledge of interactive technologies (e.g., HTML) and design\u00a0applications (Adobe Photoshop, In-Design) preferred<\/p>\n<p>STRATEGY<br \/>\nWorking side by side with all members of the strategy team, the candidate\u00a0will be exposed to all facets of taking work to market. From understanding\u00a0the business needs, to pulling insights from culture, consumer, category\u00a0research, turning that into a big enough platform that can inspire great\u00a0creative work, then layering in consumer engagements and analytics.\u00a0There\u2019s a lot to do in the strategy department as we serve many masters \u2013\u00a0the candidate must roll their sleeves up and dive in.<\/p>\n<p>Requirements:<br \/>\n\u2022 Background or interest in brand planning, marketing, consumer research,\u00a0advertising (undergraduate upperclassman or MBA candidate in related\u00a0marketing or communications field is preferred)<br \/>\n\u2022 Affinity for the web and digital technologies and a passion for how our\u00a0world is changing.<\/p>\n<p>CREATIVE STUDIO<br \/>\nAs a Creative Studio Summer Intern you\u2019re focus will be as a Tablet &amp;\u00a0Mobile Experience Prototyper. As part of a multi-disciplinary Creative\u00a0studio, the Tablet &amp; Mobile Experience Prototyper will work on client projects\u00a0designing and building out interactive experiences for tablet and mobile\u00a0devices. A strong candidate is a big idea thinker who can execute on ideas\u00a0rapidly and collaboratively. Candidates must be able to illustrate ideas using\u00a0Photoshop, Illustrator, or other industry tools, as well as bring the idea to\u00a0life through interactive prototypes. The intern should be on top of cutting\u00a0edge prototyping trends and tools as well as interaction and graphic design\u00a0trends.<\/p>\n<p>Requirements:<br \/>\n\u2022 Passion for matching good design with innovative technology<br \/>\n\u2022 Strong visual and interaction design skills<br \/>\n\u2022 Ability to research prototype toolsets, ramp up quickly, and match the\u00a0technology to the creative<br \/>\n\u2022 Must be able to design AND code<br \/>\n\u2022 Must be social-media savvy<br \/>\n\u2022 Animation or motion graphics background is a plus<br \/>\n\u2022 Will be required to include an online portfolio including written\u00a0research pieces (white papers, academic research reports, blog\u00a0postings, etc. as well as samples of infographics \/ data visualizations\u00a0as part of your application process.<\/p>\n<p>GENERAL REQUIREMENTS<br \/>\nAt the core our interns should:<br \/>\n\u2022 Be a team player, who enjoys interaction with others<br \/>\n\u2022 Be someone who has the ability and thrives to work in a fast-paced\u00a0environment with autonomy<br \/>\n\u2022 Be someone who has strong beliefs and curiosity in the world we live in<br \/>\n\u2022 Be currently enrolled in an accredited university or college.<\/p>\n<p>COMPENSATION<br \/>\nSapientNitro internships are a rewarding learning experience with the world\u2019s most\u00a0awarded agency in 2009.
