We need someone who can hold 15-20 office hours per week. \u00a0We expect the pay to be $18 \/ hour and we are looking for candidates to start Monday, May 16 (with a brief training period beforehand).<\/p>\n<p>The responsibilities of these positions include maintaining part of the department web site, developing site documentation, helping faculty and staff to resolve web-related problems, responding to questions from the users of the departmental web sites, and possibly working on other projects.<\/p>\n<p>Required skills: HTML, CSS, web development experience, familiarity with UNIX.<br \/>\nHighly desirable: Experience with version control (git, Subversion), Javascript (esp. jQuery), script programming (Perl, Python, Ruby or other commonly used scripting language).<\/p>\n<p>Excellent communication skills and good academic standing are needed.<\/p>\n<p>If you are interested, please send a current resume and an unofficial copy of your NYU transcript to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:sysjobs@cims.nyu.edu\" target=\"_blank\">sysjobs@cims.nyu.edu<\/a>\u00a0to apply.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Courant Institute is looking for a student employee to serve as webmaster for the Computer Science and Mathematics departments this summer.
