Our clients include Boston.com, CBS Local, DailyCandy, Meredith Corporation, the New York Times, Thrillist, Telegraph Media Group and many more.<\/p>\n<p>Position Scope:<\/p>\n<p>You\u2019ll be a key member of our Product Team, improving usability throughout our company\u2019s products and services.<\/p>\n<p>You will be solving unique design challenges as we scale our eCommerce platform\u2019s web interfaces across a content network accessed by millions of people. You will help design products, backed by your UX vision and must be comfortable communicating that vision internally and to clients.<\/p>\n<p>As a candidate, you must have facility in crafting experiences that meet the needs of both consumers and commercial partners. You will collect and synthesize user and market data to inform design decisions. You are equal parts usability professional, product-thinker, and interaction designer. You realize that the ideal first release of a product is one that may not include all the features the business wants but works better than the audience expects. You care deeply about detail while keeping the big picture in mind.<\/p>\n<p>This position will work closely with business owners and developers to articulate product vision, wireframe concepts, diagram workflow, shape informational hierarchies, design interaction models, and shepherd products through design and development.<\/p>\n<p>Experience is great, but expertise is paramount.<\/p>\n<p>At Group Commerce, things move fast &#8211; if you&#8217;re competitive, want to work with smart, creative, energetic people and possess the initiative, confidence and good judgment to make independent decisions every day &#8211; then you&#8217;re probably a perfect addition to our burgeoning Product Management Team.<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022Wireframe new product concepts, refining and validating them with front- and back-end developers.<br \/>\n\u2022Implement tools and processes to gather usage data, and synthesize data to make informed decisions.<\/p>\n<p>Design and implement production workflows to support new products. This involves driving user<br \/>\nacceptance from business owners based on their needs.<\/p>\n<p>Oversee the consistent definition, implementation, and evolution of smart UX patterns and interaction<br \/>\nmodels.<\/p>\n<p>Play a flexible role across our products: sometimes as primary UX designer on your own project,<br \/>\nsometimes as UX consultant to others.<\/p>\n<p>Stay current with advancements in interactive technology and competitive or complementary products, and advocate for the appropriate application of those advancements in our own products.<\/p>\n<p>Identify and create opportunities for user feedback in the development of new and existing features.<\/p>\n<p>Skills\/Requirements:<\/p>\n<p>5+ years of experience<br \/>\nGreat design aesthetic<br \/>\nAbility to manage UX-specific production designs, including concept sketches, rough wireframes or<br \/>\nflows, visual design comps, rapid prototyping\/demos, and mood boards and assist in the creation of<br \/>\nassociated mitigation plans.<br \/>\nExperience in Photoshop, Illustrator, and wireframe software such as OmniGraffle<br \/>\nWorking knowledge of HTML and CSS to build prototypes a BIG plus<br \/>\nStrong interpersonal and communication skills<\/p>\n<p>Great to have:<\/p>\n<p>Mobile and other rich internet application design experience<br \/>\nUnderstanding of both consumer and business-to-business products<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>CONTACT:<\/p>\n<p>Eric Anderson<br \/>\neanderson@groupcommerce.com<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Position:\u00a0 User Experience Designer Location:\u00a0 New York Group Commerce Overview: Group Commerce is the market-leading platform for publishers who want to succeed in e-commerce.
