International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT-H), Hyderabad is looking
\nfor Artists with academic bent of mind. Artists in various fields of performing
\narts, fine arts, installation arts etc. are required to teach undergraduate students
\nthe crafts and arts skills. At the same time Artists are required to pursue
\ntheoretical research at the crossroads of Arts and Information Technology by way
\nof doing Ph.D. at the IIIT-H Centre for Exact Humanities. Apart from teaching
\nand research, artists are expected to catalyze and mentor various cultural and
\nartistic activities in the campus. The artists will be hired as Lecturers
\n(consolidated stipend of Rs.25,000\/- per month) for the period of three years and
\ntheir PhD tuition fee will be fully paid by the Institute.<\/p>\n
Eligibility and Desirability Conditions:
\nCandidates with outstanding and proven artistic merit in any artistic practice can apply.
\nMFA, MVA, M.Mus, MPA, MA or equivalent degrees in various arts disciplines are a pre-
\nrequisite.
\nGood communication skills, teaching experience and knowledge of computers are desirable.<\/p>\n

\nShort-listed candidates will be called for interview at IIIT-H on June 1st and 2nd and 3rd 2012
\nCandidates selected are expected to join IIIT-H by the last week of June 2012.<\/p>\n
\nConsolidated Salary of Rs.25,000\/- per month will be paid to the Lecturer for the contractual
\nperiod of three years. The Salary would be revised yearly after review. Ph.D, tuition fee will also
\nbe fully paid by the Institute.<\/p>\n
