CEMSE is a Research and Development Center that resides within the CEMSE\u2019s Research and Evaluation team is looking for a data This paid internship will go from July 1, 2012 \u2013 September 30, 2012.
\nPhysical Sciences Division (PSD) of the University of Chicago. CEMSE
\n(www.cemse.uchicago.edu<\/a>) continues the University of Chicago\u2019s
\nlong-standing commitment to improving precollege education and aims to
\nsupport high quality mathematics and science instruction and learning
\nfor all students. Through the sharing of knowledge and the creation of
\nuseful products and programs, CEMSE seeks to make a positive
\ndifference for mathematics and science instruction throughout the
\nnation.<\/p>\n
\nvisualization intern who can assist with the development of engaging
\nvisual representations of the qualitative and quantitative education
\ndata we have collected for an NSF-funded study on STEM schools (more
\ninformation on the study). We are looking for someone with a great
\nvisual design sense, a sharp analytic ability, and the right
\nprogramming skills to be able to create customized visualizations.<\/p>\n
\nThe selected intern is not required to re-locate to Chicago for the
\nsummer, and is welcome to work with our team virtually. Payment will
\nbe negotiated as an hourly rate or stipend. Hours per week may range
\nfrom 10-20.<\/p>\n
