Web\/Software Developer & System Administrator Job Description<\/p>\n
This position will be part time to start (20h\/week), and will grow into full time (40h\/week)
\nover the next 3-5 months. Salary commensurate with experience.<\/p>\n
Requirements\/Experience<\/p>\n
At least 3-5 years of software development experience in server-side technologies (PHP,
\nRuby on Rails, MySQL, etc.). Candidate must have a familiarity with a wide range of
\ntechnologies and the demonstrated ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies as
\nneeded. Candidate must have experience with Linux system administration and
\nmaintaining web and database servers. Candidate also must have experience working on
\ncomplex projects through all stages of development, from initial design to maintenance.
\nBachelor\u2019s degree in software engineering, computer science, or computer engineering
\npreferred.<\/p>\n
Required Skills\/Frameworks:
\nServer side scripting (PHP and\/or Ruby on Rails)
\nDatabase design and administration (MySQL)
\nLinux system administration<\/p>\n
Preferred Languages and Frameworks:
\nC\/C++, Objective-C, Java
\nHTML, JavaScript, CSS, jQuery, Prototype, AJAX
\nMobile app development and publishing<\/p>\n
