Senior Coordinator, Mobile:<\/div>\n
The Senior Coordinator reports to the Manager, Mobile and is a senior member of the Mobile Department, which oversees the operations of StoryCorps’ national Mobile Tour. MobileBooths are recording studios housed in Airstream trailers; there is currently one touring MobileBooth, which operates year-round, making 4-6 week tour stops in towns and cities across the country, partnering with local public radio stations or other host partners during each tour stop. The Senior Coordinator is based in StoryCorps\u2019 Brooklyn headquarters, but travels to each tour location in advance of the MobileBooth\u2019s arrival to meet with the host partner, local community groups, and other affiliated parties to ensure successful execution of the tour stop. Recording Operations Specialist:<\/div>\n
As a key member of StoryCorps’ Recording & Archive Department, the Recording Operations Specialist oversees the recording technology at all StoryCorps recording venues, including portable configurations (Door-to-Door kits and StoryKits). The Specialist also oversees maintenance of StoryBooth facilities, including the MobileBooths, as well as the construction and development of new StoryBooths. Fall 2012 Internships:<\/div>\n
StoryCorps is currently accepting applications for internships in: Administration, Business Development, and Education. \u00a0The StoryCorps Internship Program is designed for college students and recent college graduates interested in gaining valuable experience in a creative, fast-paced nonprofit organization. \u00a0Our interns take part in a supportive and collaborative work environment at our offices in the Fort Greene neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York. Unless otherwise noted, StoryCorps interns work in the morning (9:30 am\u20131:30 pm) or in the afternoons (1:30\u20135:30 pm), Monday through Friday, for a total of 20 hours per week. StoryCorps provides a weekly stipend of $55 to help cover lunch and transportation expenses.
