Overview
\nHost Committee is an exciting venture-funded Internet startup company focused on
\nthe improving how the nightlife industry operates. We are using our advanced
\ntechnology platform to pioneer a turn-key end-to-end solution for nightlife planning
\nand event production.
\nHost Committee is a part of Trigger Media, a digital media-focused venture
\nincubator. Our team and advisors have been lead or early investors in some of the
\nmost exciting tech and media start-ups to come out of Manhattan\u2019s Silicon Alley and
\nthe digital media world in recent years, including Daily Candy, Thrillist, Tasting
\nTable, and Zynga.
\nHost Committee provides a unique opportunity to work directly with our product
\nand technology teams to execute critical design concepts across consumer touchpoints.<\/p>\n
Core Responsibilities
\n– Work closely with product and technology teams to execute web and graphic
\ndesign projects, sometimes on short timelines
\n– Help extend Host Committee\u2019s aesthetic, look and feel across all relevant
\nconsumer touch-points
\n– Develop intuitive website designs from wireframes using web design
\nprinciples and best practices
\nDesired Experience & Characteristics
\n– Pursuing or completed a bachelor’s degree or higher in Graphic Design, or
\nequivalent related experience.
\n– Proven web and interactive design experience
\n– Understanding of how a design system is built and the elements required.
\n– Expert skill level in programs required for their discipline (Photoshop,
\nIllustrator).
\n– Expert skill level in Adobe Creative Suite
\n– Strong attention to detail
\n– Understanding of web issues across Mac and PC platforms and different
\nbrowsers (i.e. web-savvy).
\n– Solid understanding of navigation and GUI for maximizing usability
\n– Excellent written and oral communication skills.
\n– Enthusiasm, reliability and a team-oriented attitude<\/p>\n
Terms and instructions
\n– Eight to sixteen hours per week availability desired for at least 4 months,
\nbeginning immediately.
