The brand&#8217;s social goal is to inform, inspire and ignite today&#8217;s generation of women to dream big to reach their full potential in all aspects of their lives. \u00a0Through multi platform lifestyle programming both online and offline, Claudia Chan focuses on profiling, interviewing, and celebrating today&#8217;s women leaders, visionaries, entrepreneurs, entertainers and change makers across top industries; the site features top 100 amazing women including model and women&#8217;s health advocate Christy Turlington Burns, Dermalogica founder Jane Wurwand, Joanna Coles of Marie Claire Magazine and Susan Sobbott of American Express \u2013 all with the goal to create positive social impact for women and girls.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Working with Claudia and her senior team, students and recent graduates will have a chance to develop strong professional skills to give them a competitive advantage in the workforce. Interns will receive valuable training and mentorship in helping them achieve a professional goal that is meaningful to them. Additionally, interns will have many opportunities to learn about women&#8217;s media, marketing, nonprofit, empowerment, event planning and interact with female influencers and executives.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Current Internship Openings &amp;\u00a0Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Editorial Interns &#8211;\u00a0Support editorial team with\u00a0fact checking, writing, editing, research, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Marketing &amp; PR Interns\u00a0\u2013\u00a0Support marketing team with brand presentation\/partnership materials,\u00a0marketing strategy, proposal writing in PowerPoint, basic team operations, timeline maintenance and research.<\/li>\n<li>Event Interns \u2013\u00a0Assist with event research, venue logistics, creative ideas, guest list preparation, uploading events on Eventbrite, managing ticketing, and overall event execution.<\/li>\n<li>Design Interns \u2013\u00a0Develop advertising\/promotional materials, create website content (art direct images and type), design media kits and assist with brand presentations and brand proposals.<\/li>\n<li>Social Media Interns\u00a0&#8211; Spearhead social media efforts. \u00a0Responsible for helping create and implement strategy to increase Twitter fans and Facebook followers during launch period and beyond. \u00a0This includes developing editorial content for tweets and Facebook posts.<\/li>\n<li>Business Management &amp; Finance\/Operations\u00a0\u2013 Assist with business plan research, financial analysis, QuickBooks and general administrative items.<\/li>\n<li>Business Development &amp; Sponsorship Sales \u2013\u00a0Assist with identifying prospect brand sponsors, contact research and outreach, PowerPoint presentations and proposals.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Commitment:\u00a0Either F\/T (30-40 hrs per week) or P\/T (20 hrs per week) starting\u00a0Monday, June 4th until Friday, August 17th.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong writing, editing, and research skills\u2022(Editorial)<\/li>\n<li>Experience in marketing, public relations and\/or business management (Marketing\/Business)<\/li>\n<li>Exceptional event planning, communication and management skills\u00a0(Events)<\/li>\n<li>Experience with PowerPoint, InDesign and\/or\u00a0Photoshop, Quark Xpress\u00a0(Design)<\/li>\n<li>Exceptionally savvy about all social media outlets (Social Media)<\/li>\n<li>Strong spoken and written communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Entrepreneurial drive, creativity, and enthusiastic initiative<\/li>\n<li>High level of organization and attention to detail<\/li>\n<li>Passion or interest in the advancement of women and girls<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Compensation:\u00a0Travel stipend (interns will split time between working in office and remotely)<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\">To Apply:<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Candidates are encouraged to submit their applications by Friday, March 30th for priority consideration. \u00a0However, applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis and we will continue to accept interns on an as-needed basis.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Please submit:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Your resume<\/li>\n<li>One-page cover letter that includes:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u00a0\u00a01) Which of the above qualities or skills you have<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u00a0\u00a02) Why you are passionate about Claudia Chan\u2019s mission<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u00a0\u00a03) Three women you admire and why<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\">*Please send resume and cover letter to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:office@claudiachan.com\" target=\"_blank\">office@claudiachan.com<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Internship &amp; Mentoring Opportunity with Women&#8217;s Media Brand Location:\u00a0NYC Organization Description: Claudia Chan is a new kind of women&#8217;s media platform.
