Web \/ Graphic Designer<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Host Committee is an exciting venture-funded Internet startup company focused on the improving how the nightlife industry operates. We are using our advanced technology platform to pioneer a turn-key end-to-end solution for nightlife planning and event production.<\/p>\n

Host Committee is a part of Trigger Media, a digital media-focused venture incubator. Our team and advisors have been lead or early investors in some of the most exciting tech and media start-ups to come out of Manhattan\u2019s Silicon Alley and the digital media world in recent years, including Daily Candy, Thrillist, Tasting Table, and Zynga. Host Committee provides a unique opportunity to work directly with our product and technology teams to execute critical design concepts across consumer touch-points.<\/p>\n

This is a paid opportunity. This position has the potential to become a full-time opportunity.<\/p>\n

Core Responsibilities<\/strong><\/span>
\n– Work closely with product and technology teams to execute web and graphic design projects, sometimes on short timelines
\n– Help extend Host Committee\u2019s aesthetic, look and feel across all relevant consumer touch-points
\n– Develop intuitive website designs from wireframes using web design principles and best practices<\/p>\n

Desired Experience & Characteristics<\/strong><\/span>
\n– Pursuing or completed a bachelor’s degree or higher in Graphic Design, or equivalent related experience.
\n– Proven web and interactive design experience
\n– Understanding of how a design system is built and the elements required.
\n– Expert skill level in programs required for their discipline (Photoshop, Illustrator).
\n– Expert skill level in Adobe Creative Suite
\n– Strong attention to detail
\n– Understanding of web issues across Mac and PC platforms and different browsers (i.e. web-savvy).
\n– Solid understanding of navigation and GUI for maximizing usability
\n– Excellent written and oral communication skills.
\n– Enthusiasm, reliability and a team-oriented attitude<\/p>\n

Terms and instructions<\/strong><\/span>
\n– Availability to work within our office 1-2 days per week.
\n– Eight to sixteen hours per week availability desired for at least 4 months, beginning immediately.
