NBC Local Integrated Media is looking to hire a HTML\/CSS\/JS coder with good knowledge of front end programming best practices. This will be a full-time contract position to start, and almost certainly will become a salaried position after a few months if everything works out.<\/p>\n
We are a fresh team that only recently was organized as a semi-independent entity within the larger corporation. Most of us are new to NBC, and we are a diverse cross-section of journalists, technologists, strategists, and business people. We have some interesting plans for the future.<\/p>\n

RESPONSIBILITIES<\/p>\n
+ Build great front-end web technologies that implement a high-quality user experience<\/p>\n
+ Transform design mock-ups into cross-browser compatible HTML\/CSS layouts and implement dynamic page elements using JavaScript <\/p>\n
+ Participate in design discussions regarding layout and the use of dynamic elements <\/p>\n
+ Work closely with Project\/Product Managers to meet timelines and features\/requirements<\/p>\n
REQUIRED SKILLS\/EXPERIENCE<\/p>\n
3+ years experience creating great websites in HTML, CSS, JavaScript <\/p>\n
+ Ability to create purely CSS-based layouts using semantic, W3C standards-compliant HTML <\/p>\n
+ Experience with DHTML and AJAX <\/p>\n
+ An eye for good design and solid understanding of web usability and standard practices<\/p>\n
+ Broad knowledge of available web development technologies, frameworks and libraries <\/p>\n
+ Demonstrated self-motivation and organizational skills<\/p>\n
+ Experience with other technologies, such as JSP, JSTL, Struts\/Spring, Flash, PHP, and MVC Design Pattern will be a plus
