Teaching the Web Development Immersive<\/strong>
\nIn this life-changing educational experience, students leave with the skills and mindsets to take on new high impact careers as web developers. We are looking for an instructor to spearhead this transformation through General Assembly\u2019s Web Development Immersive course. Through this unparalleled opportunity, you will:<\/p>\n

\u2022 Guide students through a journey where they begin as driven novices and leave as empowered developers
\n\u2022 Facilitate a supportive and energetic community that lasts well beyond the course
\n\u2022 Inspire students to persevere through the challenges of turning their ideas into an actual web application<\/p>\n

Skills and Qualifications<\/strong>
\n\u2022 You are eager to shape the skills, minds, and trajectories of the newest generation of web developers.
\n\u2022 You are the person that your colleagues naturally gravitate to when they are trying to figure something out.
\n\u2022 You have 4 -5 years of web development experience.
\n\u2022 You have fluency in some or all of the following topics: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Ruby, Ruby on Rails, data structures, algorithms, and \u2028performance techniques.
\n\u2022 You have previous web development or engineering teaching experience, through a course, team training, etc.<\/p>\n

\u2028Responsibilities and Duties<\/strong>
\n\u2022 Teach eight hours a day, five days a week, for 12 weeks.
\n\u2022 Work closely with two \u2013 three teaching assistants to provide students with meaningful and prompt feedback on their progress.
\n\u2022 Work alongside GA staff and teaching team to best meet the needs and learning styles of your students.
\n\u2022 Guide students through development of a stellar final project that will showcase their abilities to hiring managers.
\n\u2022 Facilitate a dynamic and collaborative classroom community.
\n\u2022 Assist students outside of class as necessary.<\/p>\n
