You’ll report to the Director of Interaction, and help shape the future of the UX department in years to come! This is a phenomenal opportunity to grow with the agency — and help grow our UX discipline in the process. If you’re passionate about experience design and emerging technologies and trends, this is a great place to ply your craft to a myriad of projects that run the gamut, from integrated marketing campaigns and traditional web projects, to complex transactional and ecommerce sites, mobile apps\/sites, social media sites, kiosks and responsive design projects. If you’re passionate about user experience, emerging technology and web trends, and prefer to work in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment, this is the place for you!<\/p>\n

The ideal candidate has 2-3 years’ post-college user experience design experience, preferably in an agency setting. We don’t need to see mobile, responsive design, or social media samples in your portfolio. But we do want to see how you think.<\/p>\n

Responsibilities<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

Conduct user research and gather requirements from key stakeholders during discovery phase.
\nConduct heuristic evaluations and competitive analyses. Translate all of these finds into requirements and features
\nCreate wireframes, user flows, site maps, user personas, functional specifications and any other deliverables to communicate the vision, design, experience and functionality of the final product.
\nCollaborate closely with our team of designers, art directors and developers to take a project from initial idea to final product.
\nHelp manage the digital production process
\nStay current with web design trends (RWD, HTML5, mobile web, social media) and be ready to apply them when needed.
\nBe creative and introduce new ideas and approaches to projects.
\nBe a champion for UX and help educate the team on best practices around IA, web design, usability and interaction design.<\/p>\n

Requirements<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

3+years’ professional (post college) UX Design experience, preferably in an agency or creative environment.
\nHave several digital projects under your belt and have the portfolio to prove it.
\nRegular use of Omnigraffle, Visio or InDesign for documentation and deliverables
\nExperience with the CS suite of products
\nKnowledge of user center design processes and methodology
\nAppreciation for good design because that’s what we do well here
\nEffective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a team and clients.
\nSolid understanding of interactive web technologies (HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Flash, Flex, Ajax, responsive design) and industry trends and experience designing applications leveraging these trends.
\nAbility to work on multiple complex projects simultaneously.
\nAbility to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary individuals.
\nDetail oriented, self starter, and excellent planner.
\nA bachelor’s or master’s degree in Interaction Design, Industrial Design, Graphic Design or New Media
\nPortfolio with recommended sample wireframes, schematics, presentations, prototypes (visio, omnigraffle or hand-coded prototypes using HTML, CSS, PHP and\/or AJAX), use case scenarios, user research, interaction design strategies, site maps, brainstorming sessions and notes, etc. that walk viewer through business challenge\/project from start through completion and show us how you think and solve a business challenge\/problem from start to finish. Hey, we even like to see walls of post-it notes!!!
