Graphic + Interaction Designer
\nOpenbox, a design consultancy and impact investment \ufb01rm, is seeking a graphic and interaction designer to work with us on a project basis. The right candidate will have solid experience in translating data and stories into a creative visual language and environment along with a thorough grounding in the principles of interaction design and prototyping.
\nKey Qualities
\n\u2022 You have an intellectually curious, user-centered approach to design that is grounded in how people respond to real-world problems.
\n\u2022 You have created visually stunning, story-based graphics for a wide range of brands and businesses.
\n\u2022 You are feel comfortable throughout all phases of a project, from translating verbal ideas into visual concepts, through design development and re\ufb01nement, to creating productionready artwork.
\n\u2022 You can prototype in different mediums: from quick sketches on a post-it to representing online environments.
\n\u2022 You have strong verbal, written, and visual presentation skills. You know how to craft the story of your design to make it relevant to any audience.
\n\u2022 You enjoy working in a participatory, team-based environment.
\nTools
\n\u2022 Pro\ufb01ciency in design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Omnigraf\ufb02e, Flash, etc.
\n\u2022 Working knowledge of prototyping tools (e.g. HTML\/CSS & Javascript, Flash, AfterEffects, IOS, Keynote)
\nMinimum Quali\ufb01cations
\n\u2022 Bachelor of Arts degree (or equivalent) in design or user experience.
\n\u2022 3-5 years professional experience in graphic design.
\n\u2022 1-3 years professional experience in interaction design
\nCompensation
\nThe position will start on a project basis but could grow into a full-time position for the right candidate. We offer competitive salary and the opportunity to have a real impact.
