With emerging trends such as virtual reality, video, cloud computing, game design, and interactive new media, technology in the arts is at the forefront of cutting edge visual arts making. \u00a05 artists have been invited to create new works of art that directly utilize these new advances in technology. In addition to local sponsorships, the Accessibility project has received support from the Tennessee Arts Commission, the Allied Arts Council of Bradley County, the Cleveland State Community College Foundation and Cleveland State Community College.<\/p>\n<p>Accessibility2013: CMD+R is seeking proposals for panel discussions, presenters and workshops on the broad themes of new media and interactive arts, gaming, video art, new technology such as 3d printing and cloud computing, maker and hackerspaces and computer processing applications.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Deadline is March 1, 2013.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Please submit your proposal to: <a href=\"http:\/\/accessibilitycleveland.us5.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=a167720d01b32544bdf68efcc&amp;id=44d0688b2b&amp;e=88035ec8e9\" target=\"_blank\">www.accessibilitycleveland.com<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Panel Discussions and Presenters: In keeping with this year\u2019s theme, we ask that panels attempt to showcase a range of experience in the field; graduate students, novice presenters, experienced scholars and community members are encouraged to apply. Panel coordinators should submit a 200-word rationale for the panel as whole. For each contributor, please submit a short bio and contact information. Panel discussions might include the ethics and\/or the financial impact of 3d Printing (eg the recent &#8220;print your own gun&#8221; debate), the implications of cloud computing and privacy or the implementation of augmented reality into our everyday lives. While on campus presentations are encouraged, Skype presentations are allowed.<\/p>\n<p>Workshop Proposals: We seek workshop ideas that focus on hands-on demonstrations of new technology. Topics might include: Arduino processors, introduction to Adobe Photoshop or alternatives, video editing and sharing, physical computing, integrating sensors, 3d printing, processing or bio-technology. Coordinators should submit a 200-word rationale for the workshop (including some discussion of why the topic lends itself to a workshop format), a short bio, and contact information. For each workshop participant, please submit a title, short bio, and contact information. Workshops are intended to encourage discussion; contributors should plan on a series of brief, informal presentations.<\/p>\n<p>Screening Proposals: We invite proposals for video, audio, or new media screenings.
