Human Interface Design Intern<\/p>\n
Apple ignited the personal computer revolution in the 1970s with the
\nApple II and reinvented the personal computer in the 1980s with the
\nMacintosh. Today, Apple continues to lead the industry in innovation
\nwith its award-winning computers, OS X operating system and iLife and
\nprofessional applications. Apple is also spearheading the digital
\nmedia revolution with its iPod portable music and video players and
\niTunes online store, and has entered the mobile phone market with its
\nrevolutionary iPhone.<\/p>\n
The Apple Human Interface Group (HIg), responsible for crafting the
\nuser interface design of the iPhone and OS X, is looking for an
\nintern. The HIg Intern is a student who has the ability to solve
\nproblems creatively, has an interdisciplinary sensibility toward
\ngraphic, product and digital media design and is open to learning
\nabout and contributing to the future of computer interaction. He or
\nshe will be assisting the team with everything from icon to
\napplication design, and will be involved in individual and group
\ncritiques of their work.<\/p>\n
Top candidates will have proficiency in illustration, a basic
\nunderstanding of user interface principles, a sensitivity to
\ntypography and color, a general awareness of materials\/textures, and
\na practical grasp of physics and animation.<\/p>\n
A working knowledge of OS X, iPhone, Photoshop and Illustrator as
\nwell as a willingness to learn on the job is a requirement.
\nExperience in Director, Quartz Composer, 3D computer modeling, motion
\ngraphics, sound design and copy writing are a plus.<\/p>\n
