New York University is one of ten universities to offer the Dalai Lama Fellowship, a global program authorized by the Fourteenth Dalai Lama.<\/p>\n
One fellow will be chosen from each university to receive up to $10,000 toward a year-long project of his or her design in one of four focus areas:<\/p>\n
1) working across differences;<\/p>\n
2) diminishing violence;<\/p>\n
3) alleviating poverty;<\/p>\n
4) protecting the environment.<\/p>\n
All undergraduate, graduate and professional students – who will be enrolled full-time at NYU in Academic Year 2013 \u2013 2014 – are invited to apply.<\/p>\n
