What you can expect from g33ktalk
\ng33ktalk is looking for 2-3 energetic CS students for an internship opportunity in\u00a0web development in our NYC office. At g33ktalk, we work as a team. We care less about\u00a0the formality but focus on the quality of work. This is your opportunity to work with\u00a0a high-energy startup on a team that knows how to get stuff done, and you’ll develop\u00a0practical, and valuable, web development skills in the process. You will be exposed to\u00a0all sides of the business and learn knowledge from the whole spectrum. Most exciting\u00a0of all, you will experience the opportunity to grow your personal and professional\u00a0network through our deep relationships with the NYC and San Francisco Bay tech startup\u00a0communities. The internship is paid, depending on level of experience. There is also the\u00a0potential for the best candidates to secure full-time opportunities with the company in the\u00a0future.<\/p>\n
Responsibilities
\n\u2022 Develop and maintain our flagship website, g33ktalk.com
\n\u2022 Work with other g33ktalk staff on web publishing projects for our site network
\n\u2022 Use open-source technologies to help g33ktalk push the boundaries of digital\u00a0publishing with A\/B testing, hyper-focused email and social marketing as well as\u00a0user profiling & analytics.<\/p>\n
Requirements
\n\u2022 Self-motivated individuals with a strong inclination towards building next-generation online content platforms and user experiences
\n\u2022 Our engineers are typically full-stack & you’ll work from the front to the back-end
\n\u2022 If you happen to know PHP, that’s great since that’s how we started \u2013 however,\u00a0we’re always open to using the best technology for a specific task
\n\u2022 Hours are flexible and we\u2019re open to working with your schedule<\/p>\n
